About Me

My Class Website

Hi!  My name is Michelle Munro and I am currently teaching Social Studies 7, Math 7 and 8, Career and Life Management,  Phys Ed/Health 2 and 6, and Computer Coding   Besides being a teacher at PPS, I manage the Provost Panthers Football program, maintain our school social media accounts and website, as well as provide assistance for students and staff on Educational Technology within our school.

When I am not marking, geeking out on new apps/programs, or preparing lessons, you will find me at home with my family.  With similarities to the Brady Bunch, Marty and I have brought our families together, with 6 children between both of us.

One of my favourite past-times is sitting at my sewing machine and quilting.  I recently purchased an embroidery machine and am excited to use it to personalize the quilts I make.  Usually, these are baby quilts that I make for close family and friends, but once in a while,  end up mending work jeans and letting the hem out of my pants that are just a wee bit too short for me.  One of our highlights every summer is going to Whitefish Lake, Alberta to help set up the Kikino Rodeo fireworks show.  This pyro-musical is set in a beautiful location where our crew can camp for the weekend while we get everything set up for the Sunday night show. As licensed fireworks technicians, we travel around Saskatchewan and Alberta during the summer to set up shows for numerous celebrations and events.

Although I am  Maritimer at heart, I have lived in Saskatchewan for 19 years.  I miss my parents, siblings and their children every day.  Not being able to be at home for the family celebrations is difficult, but now that my own family is has grown up and have left the nest, I cannot see me living anywhere else.  Eventually we will have a summer home in New Brunswick, but for now, we will be happy to travel to see our children and continue to create our own memories and celebrations here in the mid-west.
