I have been teaching for 13 years. Upon completing my degrees in Conservation Biology and Education at the University of Alberta, I began my teaching career in England. For three years I taught in the Science Department at a school in Maidstone, Kent. When I came back to Alberta in the summer of 2008, I worked at J.R. Robson in Vermilion as a high school science teacher. I worked there for 5 years until I relocated to Provost, all because I met a farmer. In the meantime, I worked at Edgerton Public School teaching elementary and junior high language arts. In February 2018, I started at Provost Public School teaching high school sciences.
I am really enjoying teaching at Provost Public School and am loving teaching the high school sciences again. I just recently became a SLAC advisor and have been working with the fundraising committee to bring our students the Subway Sales and popcorn sales. Througout my teaching career I have always been involved in student leadership and enjoy working with students in this capacity.
Brayden and I live on a farm outside of Provost, where he has both a grain and cattle operation. Together we also have two small farmers, Hudson (3) and Reid (1) who keep up busy in our "spare time" getting the bad guys, being transformers and farming like dad.
